An important message to our supporters
Epilepsy Ottawa-Carleton (EOC) places a high value on our relationship with you, our donors. Without your support we would not be able to achieve our mission to provide supportive services for individuals with epilepsy and their families. We thank you for your commitment to us.
We believe that transparency and accountability are essential to our success. With this in mind, we have recently joined Imagine Canada’s Ethical Code Program.
The Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code lays out a set of standards for charitable organizations to manage and report their financial affairs responsibly. By adhering to these standards, we are complying with generally accepted practices for soliciting and managing donor dollars. This is important because you, our supporters, are entitled to transparency and the greatest impact possible for your investment in us.

Donate OnlineSecure donations can be made to EOC online at CanadaHelps. You can donate any amount now or sign up for a monthly donation plan. An instant tax receipt from CanadaHelps.org will be emailed to you.
Donate by Mail Please complete the Donation Form and mail it to EOC with your cheque or money order to the address below: Epilepsy Ottawa-Carleton Bronson Centre 211 Bronson Ave. Suite 207 Ottawa, ON K1R 6H5 Please make your cheque or money order payable to: Epilepsy Ottawa-Carleton Honorary DonationsHelping others is a great way to honour a special person or occasion (perhaps a birthday, wedding, anniversary, graduation, retirement or holiday). An honorary donation to EOC will help provide support to people with epilepsy and their families in the Ottawa-Carleton area and is a perfect way to celebrate a special person or occasion.
After EOC receives your honorary gift, we will send a letter to the honoree acknowledging your thoughtful donation, (the amount given is not indicated). You may add a personalized message to the letter if you wish; just let us know what you want to say. You will receive a note acknowledging your donation as well. You may make an Honorary Donation by indicating this on the printable Donation Form. Wedding Donations In lieu of wedding favours for their guests, some couples choose a special way to say “Thank You” to their guests for sharing their wedding day by making a donation in their honour to Epilepsy Ottawa-Carleton. Memorial Donations Many people pay special tribute to a deceased family member, friend or co-worker by making a memorial donation to EOC. Your gift in their memory will help us to provide better opportunities for people in our community living with epilepsy and their families. After receiving your memorial gift, EOC will send a letter to the family acknowledging your thoughtful donation, (the amount given is not indicated). You will receive a letter acknowledging your donation as well. You may make a Memorial Donation by indicating this on the printable donation form All donors will receive written acknowledgment of their contribution. Official income tax receipts will be automatically issued for all donations of $10 or more. If you would like a receipt for less than $10, please advise us. Tax receipts are sent after donations are received.
Your generous donations enable Epilepsy Ottawa-Carleton to provide important support programs and services for individuals and families with epilepsy and seizure disorders; develop and bring educational and awareness-raising materials into the community; and to support research to find a cure for epilepsy.

Corporate and Foundation GivingWorking in Partnership EOC benefits each year from the generous support of a number of corporations and foundations. This support helps us to develop and maintain our many programs. Corporate and foundation gifts can be designated to develop a new program, underwrite an existing program, or to provide much needed support for overall operations.
Corporations may also support our mission by providing opportunities for employees to contribute through annual workplace giving campaigns and special events.
